Today is Megan’s birthday, and my family had the cutest little impromptu birthday party for her after dinner yesterday. My 4 year old niece, Aubrey, picked out two pairs of fuzzy socks for her, because she was super excited to get a present as soon as I told her last week that Megan’s birthday was coming up. My mom knit Mega Shark a Raven’s scarf, since she is a bigger football bro than I will ever be, and then we plopped a candle into some cheesecake and sang “Happy Birthday”. I took the high octave, of course, because someone needs to make Michael Scott proud. After we demolished desserts, I presented Megan with a poorly wrapped box that housed my little gift to her. Anyone that knows her knows that she is a Beatles fanatic, so I spent the last week or so making stencils and painting these for her. Nights like tonight remind me how much fun life can be.
